Wrockin' Wrobin is a garage-punk band from Wrexham, drawing inspiration from football, a shared love of loud and direct music as well as years of following Wrexham AFC.
Line-up
Wrockin Wrobin started life as a studio project led by Dave, originally built around a simple idea: turning matchday feeling into loud, straightforward punk songs. That first phase produced the EPs Volume 1 and Volume 2, along with the single “We’re Back”, written to mark Wrexham AFC’s return to the Football League after 15 years away.
As the project grew, Dave joined forces with Tim on bass - a lifelong Wrexham supporter whose enthusiasm and vision helped push the project forward. They brought in multi-instrumentalist Neal on drums, and together the trio expanded the recordings, releasing Volume 3 with a more solid, live-ready feel.
Wanting a bigger, fuller sound, the band went looking for a lead guitarist and up stepped Danny, a musician and highly skilled producer who added weight and shape to the songs. With the line-up complete, the band released Volume 4, marking Wrockin Wrobin’s shift from studio project to full band.
The Story So Far
What began as a small studio project has steadily grown into something that’s found its way far beyond expectations. Wrockin Wrobin’s music has been played before matches and soundtracked promotion celebrations at the Cae Ras - most notably the songs were on as the fans stormed the pitch after the promotion to the Championship was sealed.
The songs have been shared by players and other figures connected to the club across social media.
The reach hasn’t stopped at Wrexham. Tracks have been used for the player's walk-on music during promotion events in Las Vegas, featured as goal music on the summer tour to Australia, and picked up on playlists of fans all around the world.
Alongside this, Wrockin Wrobin have stepped onto the stage, recently supporting Neck Deep at the opening dates of their sold-out UK tour.
It’s been a steady build rather than a sudden jump - music made for football crowds finding its way into venues, playlists, and moments the band never originally planned for, but are very proud to be part of.
